SONG: CALID B "UMOJA"

Calid B just released an afrobanger just in time for Kwanzaa. The song, "UMOJA" is a tribute to the first day of Kwanzaa, which strives to maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race. This song does just that, with it's catchy hook, and signature Calid B cadence, and he says. "we've got something in common," and its great drums and interlaced with beats, and "afro-hyphy" vibes, which were also produced by him. He'll have you dippin and dabbin, and African dancing at the same time.

Calid B does a great job with infusing more modern hip hop and trap beats with his Cote D'Ivoire roots. He has also found a way to infuse his style and music with a cause with his "Make Africa Great Again" hats (pictured above).

"Our Make Africa Great Again apparel is more than a fashion statement. For every item sold, we will donate a percentage of the proceeds to Aseshi University. An educational institute in Ghana, founded by MacAurthur Fellowship winner, Patrick Awuah, who’s mission is to educate a new generation of ethical, entrepreneurial leaders in Africa; to cultivate within our students the critical thinking skills, the concern for others and the courage it will take to transform a continent," he said.
